The Ramacca Artichoke Festival also takes place this year in two weekends: 5, 6, 7 and 12, 13, 14 April 2019.

At the twenty-eighth edition of the festival, on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, you will find: folklore, traditions, events, shows.

Ramacca, an agricultural town built on the south-western edge of the plain of Catania at the beginning of the 18th century, boasts a territory that, with its surface area of 30,538 hectares, is one of the largest in Sicily.

The typical purple artichoke in the area is renowned throughout Italy and in Ramacca every year it is celebrated during the festival with many dishes to taste it. Furthermore, during the two end of the festival, events, concerts, children’s events and much more are held.
